Yesterday, Primary Three walked to the woodland school area inside the Grand Entrance of Shane's Castle where we met our friends from Mount St Michael's PS.We all had a fantastic time having a picnic and exploring the woodland area through mini-beast hunting, measuring sticks, twigs and the circumfrence of trees (we had to work out the age of the trees...they ranged from 18-58 years old)We also did leaf rubbings, identifying different trees from their leaves and making pictures from natural materials.The weather was lovely, sunny and warm.
