PEAT (Parents' Education As Autism Therapists) Training In Antrim

4-Week Programme for Parents of Children with ASD/suspected ASD   PEAT will present 4 FREE parent workshops in the Antrim area.   Topics of discussion will include the following: Understanding Behaviour; Addressing Challenging Behaviour; Developing Basic Communication Skills; Social skills and social confidence   The workshops will provide strategies that you can use anywhere from your home and your child’s school to public places around the community. The strategies discussed are based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). The workshops are hosted by a professionally credentialed Behaviour Analyst from the PEAT autism organisation.   Parents or primary caregivers spend most time with a child, and training them in behaviour management and intervention strategies is critical to improving a child’s behaviour to help them to learn new skills and to reduce parental stress.   Although the workshops are FREE, participants are requested to RSVP as soon as possible T. 028 9032 4882. The workshops will run for 4 weeks consecutively on the following dates:   ●8th November 2018 ●15th November 2018 ●22nd November 2018 ●29th November 2018   All sessions 7-9pm in Antrim Civic Centre.
