World War 2 Evacuees - In Primary Seven
19th Oct 2018
P.7 are currently studying the topic of WW2 and today they dressed up as evacuees. They all looked fabulous and some pupils even went to great lengths making their own gas masks and boxes as well as identity tags for authenticity. Today the children experienced what it was like when an air-raid siren went off at school, they took photos of each other on the IPads and altered them in tone, colour, density and grain to make them look like they were from the 1940’s and they even learned how to dance the Lambeth walk! Mrs McIvor even joined them by dressing up as Mrs Hartridge- the teacher from their class novel of Goodnight Mr Tom!
