Could I remind parents that dogs (apart from guide dogs) are not allowed on school grounds.
Governors made the decision four years ago following a dog attack on a pupil on the last day of the Summer Term in the playground of a Ballymena Primary School in 2013.
As a dog lover, I understand the appeal of bringing the family pet on the walk to and from school. However, considering the safety of all our pupils the risk is simply too high and we have to exclude dogs from the school site.
