This term in Literacy, primary 7 pupils are looking at The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe novel.
In Chapter 2 Mr Tumnus tricks Lucy into coming to his house for tea and alerts the White Witch about a human in Narnia. We role-played out some situations where children would feel under pressure to do the same things as their peers.
One group opted to re-tell the story of the White Witch meeting Edmund on her sleigh, another about the peer pressure to bully and fight with other children and another group thought about the pressures to compete with their peers in tests.
Later we discussed how we could overcome these pressures and the sensible outcomes, choices and options we have as individuals.
