Primary Seven - STEM Challenge 4
16th Oct 2018
Last week P.7’s STEM challenge was to build a structure to hold a basketball. This had to be at least 15cm high when the ball was in place and the only materials they were provided with were scissors, cellotape and 1 newspaper. They had 10 minutes to discuss and design their structure, 20 minutes to assemble and carry out their own testing, then they were given a soft ball to test the shape and size of their structure and were able to carry out any amendments they required before the final test with the basketball. The winning team’s ball stayed in place for many hours so a hearty congratulation to them!
