As we break up for Easter...I thought I should write to parents and give you a 'heads-up' about an exciting addition to the school, which will be coming into operation just after the Easter Holiday.Communication is something we could always do better...I'm the first to admit that !!!ParentMail is a great way to contact parents instantly with letters, messages etc as well as gaining permission for trips, run surveys and many other uses...straight to and from your computer or phone.It will also allow us for the first time to take payments electronically...rather than the endless counting of money in the classrooms, checking money in the office, giving change etc that clogs up the admin in any school and classroom.These services aren't cheap...indeed they will cost around £2,000 for a three year deal. However, when you consider the hours Mrs Rock spends contacting parents and counting money each and every week...as well as the time freed up in the classroom for the teachers in the mornings as they count dinner, milk, swimming and trip money...let alone helping parents trying to find change in the mornings...I'm sure parents will see the many advantages.It is ONLY down to the support and consent of the PTA that we are able to implement this system...based on improving communications between home and school...and freeing up teaching time for EVERY class and EVERY child in the school.Our thanks are to them...and our hope is that all parents will support this iniative as you find out more about it in the weeks after the Easter BreakHappy Easter !
