Nurse Visit To Busy Bees and Primary 1
7th Feb 2024
Today we welcomed Janine McNinch (a past-parent and nurse at Antrim Area Hospital) to school to speak to the Busy Bees and P1 classes.
Janine told the children about her job as a nurse, demonstrated how we should wash our hands properly and showed us some of the equipment she uses in her job as a nurse. Janine showed us how to put on a sling if we have a broken arm, give a pretend injection, how to take someone’s blood pressure and what she uses a stethoscope for.
All of the children really enjoyed Janine’s visit and Mrs McVicker and Miss McAleese would like to thank her for coming in to school.
