Mummified Fruit ? In Primary Four
7th Jun 2018
We love to inspire awe and wonder in Primary Four, so when the children asked if we could mummify a piece of fruit to show the process of Egyptian mummification, who was I to object? The children measured out salt and baking soda and buried a quarter of an apple deep into the mixture. We talked about carrying out a fair test, variables, methods, equipment, predictions and results. The children are now busy writing their very own scientific report. We will let you know if it has worked in two weeks!
