Making Playdough In Busy Bees
Yesterday the Busy Bees noticed that our playdough was getting a bit hard so we decided we needed to make new stuff. We got out the box with all the playdough ingredients and had to read the instructions so we knew what to do. We measured the flour, salt, oil and water out and mixed it altogether. Finally we had to knead the playdough to make it nice and smooth and stretchy. During this activity we practised our pre-reading skills, explored weight and capacity, worked on our arm and hand muscles by kneading the dough and developed our language by thinking of words to describe how the playdough felt at the different stages. We love playing and creating with our new dough!
