Following our community Internet Safety meeting at the Arches in February with the PSNI, we decided to have an Internet Safety Day in school, earlier in this school year.
We have engaged the services of the NSPCC who will be in school on the first day back after the half-term holiday, Monday 7th November 2016.
The plan for the day is to have a Parents’ Internet Safety Workshop from 9:15am-10:15am, after which, the NSPCC will stay on in the school and work with all the pupils, from Reception to Primary Seven.
We hope you will find this approach helpful, as the trained NSPCC staff work with parents and then with the pupils on the same day, so everyone receives the same messages about the benefits and risks of the Internet.
