Today, a group of P6 and P7 children took part in a football tournament at the Ballymena Showgrounds. The children all had a fantastic time and represented the school very well; showing good sportsmanship and fair play. Two wins and two draws in their group games left them finishing third – just a win away from the semi-finals.
On Wednesday a group of children also represented the school in the Antrim Schools’ League, picking up a win and a draw, in their four games. Well done to all the players – particularly those making a footballing debut.
In both these, and all the tournaments, I am really proud of the children who represent our school and demonstrate hard work and resilience. They showed the importance of teamwork and it is great to have the opportunity for children to play and enjoy their football. We all had great fun!
