Drug & Alcohol Misuse Information Evening - MFT Meeting
24th Feb 2017
As you are all too aware, growing up in society today presents many challenges for children and young people. As educators we share your concerns about the many negative influences exerted on our children, particularly with regard to drug and alcohol misuse.
Unfortunately it is increasingly easy to access drugs in the community and the range of both legal and illegal highs available to our young people is frightening.
To this end, Mount St. Michael’s, Randalstown Central P.S. and St. Benedict’s College will be hosting an information evening on Wednesday, 15 March at 7.00 p.m. in Mount St. Michael’s Primary School.
This is being facilitated by Antrim Youth Information and Counselling Centre who work with young people in the Antrim area. We all wish to do our best to protect our children; the information provided at this workshop will help you to do so. We therefore strongly encourage you to attend.
We believe it is vitally important that schools and parents work together in preparing children for adulthood so that they are empowered to make a positive contribution to society and, in particular, to their local community. We look forward to seeing you on the 15th.
