Aztec Sport In Primary Seven
15th Nov 2019
We began our PE lesson finding out about a sport that is believed to have originated in the time of the Aztecs. In groups we devised, refined and presented an idea for a new sport in keeping with the Aztec game. The key premise was that the ball had to stay off the ground; to be different to the throwing and catching used in bench ball and have a scoring system similar to putting the ball through a stone hoop.
A great opportunity for collaboration, and to be creative whilst being active. The session ended with a presentation to the rest of the class and a chance to take questions to help identify the next step in creating our new sport.
