Anti-bullying – Odd Socks Day (Friday 20th November 2020)
What is Odd Socks day?
Quite often bullies choose others to ‘pick on’ because they are thought to be different. In this school we don’t accept that…or any other reason for pupils to bully others. Indeed, we encourage the pupils to be independent, individual and unique.
This year we have decided to celebrate this uniqueness as part of Anti-Bullying Week by holding an ‘Odd Socks Day’, this Friday 20th November.
Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun! It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!
There is no pressure to wear the latest fashion or for parents to buy expensive costumes. All you have to do to take part is wear odd socks to school on Friday, it couldn’t be simpler! Odd Socks day will take place on the last day of Anti Bullying Week (20th November 2020) to help raise awareness of bullying.
There is no cost to this event…it’s just for fun. We look forward to seeing the pupils in their Odd Socks, this Friday !
