Support Of Key Workers

24th Mar 2020

During this very difficult and uncertain time, the school is attempting to remain open for as long as the Government needs.

We have organised the staff into a weekly rota so that the same teachers, classroom assistants, lunchtime supervisors and senior management work a full week and then a completely different set of staff work the following week...that should allow enough of us to stay well to keep this crucial service operating for our Key Workers, for as long as possible.

We have the same concerns and worries as everyone else...and we all have vulnerable family members we want to shield as much as possible...but we also see our responsibility in helping to keep the Health Service and other key services running.

So far we have only had around half a dozen children attending...but for those families...it has allowed them to continue to do their vital jobs at this time.

On a personal note, I wish to express my gratitude to EVERY member of staff.  Yesterday (Monday 23rd March) EVERY teacher and ALL of our non-teaching staff made themselves available.

None of us can tell what the future will bring, but we intend to 'play our part' for as long as we can !
