Big Lottery Fund Grant For The Garden

19th Jun 2017

Mrs McVicker applied for and received a Big Lottery Fund grant of almost £2750 to completely revamp the school garden.

Workers from the Conservation Volunteers are on site this week to transform the garden.  The changes you will see will be new, raised, double sided beds to make the garden much more practical.  The raised beds have also been planned including wheelchair access.

In addition a new compost system is being introduced and matting will be laid under the stones to remove the problem of weeds and grasses that we have at present.

The work should be finished by the end of the week...so look out for the pictures.

Thanks to the Big Lottery Fun for accepting our application for this grant.
